Itinerary
DAY 1: Chobe National Park
Leaving Livingstone it is a short drive across to the Kazangula Ferry and on into Botswana leaving the mighty Victioria Falls behind to start our African Adventure.
DAYS 2 to 4: Chobe, Kruger National Park
We make camp near Chobe National Park where we can take the game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Sit back and relax and catch sight of elephant, buffalo and hippo wallow in the river shallows. Chobe is also known for its prolific birdlife; look out for the famous fish eagle as it swoops down on the river to feed. Then we pass through the tiny settlement of Nata and on towards Francistown and on south crossing the boarder into South Africa and onwards to Kruger National Park
DAYS 5 to 6: Kruger National Park, Johannesburg
Kruger is South Africa's best known park and now a part of the much larger Trans Frontiers Peace Parks initiative along with neighbouring Zimbabwe and Mozambique - over 24,000 square kilometres given over to the protection of Africa's wildlife! The Greater Kruger and Limpopo area contains Africa's 'Big Five' - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard as well as giraffe, hippo, various antelope and a huge variety (almost 500 species) of birdlife. We have two nights in the area with a full day spent in the Kruger on games drives and there is an option of a night drive (subject to availability). Then finally onto Johannesburg, the city of gold one of the most cosmopolitan cities on the African Continent.
