The Okavango Delta is a huge expanse of water that has travelled from the Kavango River from the Angolan highlands, and fans out onto the upper Kalahari region to form the largest inland Delta in the World. Studded with exotic islands, the Delta is renowned for its incredible variety of bird life as well as many other animals unique to Southern Africa. We explore the channels and waterways by traditional means in a mokoro - this is the local form of transport used to traverse the many waterways of the Delta. In the late afternoon we have the option to observe the Delta from above by taking part in an optional scenic flight.
