ABOUT OVERLANDING IN AFRICA  Africa is one of the most rewarding continents for an overland tour. Throughout Africa you will experience breathtaking scenery: from high mountains and tropical rainforests to vast fertile plains and spectacular deserts. You will have the chance to meet a fascinating variety of people; from the Maasai in the east to the Himba and Zulu in the south.During your overland tour you will also encounter some of the greatest concentrations of wildlife in the world; from the lifetime experience of seeing gorillas in their natural environment to the vast open plains of the Serengeti to the fertile game-filled islands of the Okavango Delta and to South Africa's game-rich Kruger National Park. Our range of African overland safaris and camping trips offer you all of the above and more. Overlanding is an unforgetable experience for the 'young-at-heart' traveller and although we have a minimum age limit of 18, we don't have a maximum age limit. Overland travel in Africa is a true adventure, roads can sometimes be appaling and schedules sometimes meaningless - so if you prefer luxury and running water every day, then overlanding is probably not for you. Our overland tours are conducted in custom build overland trucks, suitable for all the different terrains we will encounter on our adventures. An element of participation is involved and group members are expected to join in with cooking and all camp chores. On some short tours we may take along a cook, but we still ask group members to participate in the food preparation. Whether you have time for only a glimpse or the freedom to enjoy a multi-country overland adventure, your experience will let you fully understand the age-old saying: 'You can leave Africa, but Africa will never leave you! |
